Filippo Castellani was born in 1983 in Pisa (Tuscany) and he graduated in Industrial design from University of Florence after a quick experience at TU/e of Einhdoven. In 2011 he was the winner of “Think out of the box” competition organized by Domus Academy which allows him to take part to the Master in Design course in Milan. In 2012 he moved to London with the aim of open his mind and compare himself with different ways of thinking. As freelance he has collaborated with various international design studios such as Nokia, Marc Krusin, Gabbertas Studio, Nigel Coates where he is been involved in the development of products and projects for different companies such as Gebruder Thonet, Koll, L’Abbate, Incipit, Oasiq, Allermuir, Nude, Gloster among others. Since 2013 he has opened his own studio focus on designing products, funitures and limited edition pieces driven by research and curiosity in everyday life with renewed attention to small details.
